Unlike round jig heads that can roll and bury the hook tip on contact with the bottom, the football-shaped lead body of the MSF acts as a stabiliser. When the lure settles on the substrate, it tilts slowly and naturally with the hook point facing upward toward the surface — reducing snags and keeping the bait ready for a strike at a moment's notice.
