The FTM GR8 Line is a smooth, durable 8-carrier (8-fold braid) braided line designed for spinning, delivering long casts and reliable abrasion resistance across a full 225 m spool in a distinctive purple colour proven to be highly visible during testing.
The tight 8-carrier braid construction gives the GR8 Line an exceptionally smooth surface that glides cleanly through rod guides. That reduced friction translates directly into extended casting distances — a genuine advantage when covering water for predators such as pike, perch, or zander.
An additional coating seals the braid and boosts abrasion resistance, so the line holds up against rocks, gravel, woody debris, and other structure typically found in freshwater environments. At 0.18 mm diameter with a 12.8 kg breaking strain, this variant is well suited to medium-to-heavy spinning setups targeting larger freshwater predators.
