The 8-strand S-Line braided mainline delivers exceptional strength and casting performance for modern catfish fishing techniques, field-tested under extreme conditions for 12 months by Stefan Seuß.
The round, 8-carrier construction creates a very tight braid that absorbs almost no water. This dense weave ensures incredible breaking strain relative to diameter and maintains consistent performance even after repeated fights with powerful fish. The tight braid structure also resists abrasion against underwater obstacles, rocks, and mussels.
The low water absorption and smooth surface enable long, accurate casts when spinning and support weightless, long-range line tensioning when buoy fishing. The high-visibility yellow colour makes the line easy to spot in low light or poor visibility, helping you monitor line movement and detect takes instantly, even at night.
Select your S-Line based on target fish size, casting distance, and spool capacity:
Ø 0.38mm, 250m, 40kg / 88lbs — medium cats, spinning, limited spool capacity
Ø 0.38mm, 3000m, 40kg / 88lbs — bulk spool for multiple reels, medium cats
Ø 0.42mm, 250m, 45kg / 99lbs — heavier cats, spinning and buoy setups, standard spools
Ø 0.42mm, 3000m, 45kg / 99lbs — bulk spool, heavier cats
Ø 0.45mm, 180m, 50kg / 110lbs — short-range specialist rods, heavy cats
Ø 0.45mm, 400m, 50kg / 110lbs (current) — all-round heavy-duty setups, large cats, extended casting and buoy fishing
Ø 0.55mm, 300m, 70kg / 154lbs — record fish, extreme conditions, highest abrasion resistance
Ø 0.55mm, 450m, 70kg / 154lbs — long-range record fish hunting, maximum spool fill
