The Salmo Fatso is a heavyweight floating jerkbait (wobbler) built to provoke violent strikes from pike, zander, and perch. At 10cm and 48g, it carries real authority on the cast and in the water.
A sharp twitch of the rod tip sends the Fatso darting sideways with a wide, erratic flank that mimics an injured baitfish. This side-gliding action is one of the most effective triggers for aggressive predators, especially pike hunting in slower or open water.
The buoyant body rises gently during pauses, working a running depth of 0.8–1.2m on the retrieve. This makes it ideal for both spinning and trolling: keep the bait in the zone on the move, then let it rise enticingly on the stop — a combination that pressures hesitant fish into committing.
