Thanks to its compact, dense body, the Trouble Shad lands with a distinctive splash that can draw the attention of nearby predators the moment it hits the water. That built-in strike trigger starts working before the retrieve even begins.
On the retrieve, the lure produces a strong, rolling flank action paired with a large paddle tail that pushes out pressure waves at low and medium speeds. The combination mimics a fleeing or injured baitfish convincingly, making it effective on even reluctant, pressured fish.
