The VMC 8382 is a forged, ringed circle hook with a reversed point design that delivers reliable hooksets when targeting hard-fighting saltwater and freshwater species with live or cut baits.
This hook is built from forged steel with triple-extra strength to handle the strain of large baits and powerful fish. The black nickel coating offers solid corrosion resistance (rating: 4/5) for regular saltwater use, while the reversed point geometry promotes automatic hooking on the take — especially effective when fishing with minimal tension or letting fish run before setting.
Originally designed for wreck fishing targeting cod and pollack with big live baits like mackerel or sandeels, the 8382 also excels in freshwater catfish angling.
