The Spro Matt Black Single Brass Crimp in 2mm is a purpose-built crimping sleeve for constructing robust predator leaders from materials that don't knot well.
Crimps are the go-to connection method when working with wire traces, titanium leaders and hard mono lines where knots fail or weaken. These 10mm brass sleeves compress cleanly and securely, forming loops and attaching swivels or snaps without damaging the trace material. Applied with a proper crimping tool, the 2mm size handles the heavier leader materials typically used in predator angling.
Beyond classic spinning traces, these crimps let you build effective deadbait rigs for predator fishing with dead baitfish. Single hooks and trebles can be precisely positioned and fixed on the leader material using the sleeves, giving you control over hook spacing and presentation that knots simply cannot match.
Select the crimp diameter that matches your leader material diameter. As a general rule, lighter traces for smaller predators call for smaller crimp sizes, while heavier wire or hard mono for pike or large zander needs a larger crimp.
