Spro Freestyle Ballast Braid - 125m geflochtene Angelschnur
incl. VAT, excl.
The Spro Freestyle Ballast Braid is a purpose-built braided fishing line for freshwater spin fishing, designed to cast far, run quietly through rod rings, and hold knots under pressure.
A smooth surface coating reduces friction as the line passes through rod guides, resulting in quieter casts and improved casting distance. The coating also enhances knot strength, so connections to leaders and lures hold reliably when a pike or perch makes a sudden run.
The 3-carrier (3-strand) braid is engineered to sink slowly, keeping the line tracking naturally through the water column during retrieves and jigging presentations. This suits vertical and horizontal lure techniques equally well, giving you precise control over lure depth when targeting zander, perch, pike, and other freshwater predators.
The Freestyle Ballast Braid is available in several diameter and breaking strain combinations to match your target species and rod setup. Select the lightest option for finesse tactics and smaller predators, or step up for heavier lures and bigger fish.
0.10 mm / 5 kg — Freshwater: Finesse spinning for perch and zander; pairs well with light to medium spinning rods and small to medium lures. Ideal for clear, pressured water where a thin diameter helps presentation.
0.13 mm / 6.5 kg — Saltwater/Freshwater: Versatile all-round option for mixed predator fishing; handles medium lures and modest casting weights.
0.16 mm / 8 kg — Saltwater/Freshwater: Heavier setup for pike and larger predators; supports bigger lures and fishing near structure.
