The offset bend allows you to rig the hook point flush along the back of your soft bait, keeping it weed-free during the retrieve. When a fish strikes, it pushes the hook upward, freeing the point instantly for a clean, solid hookset. This makes the 4/0 size especially effective in heavily vegetated or structured swims.
These hooks are built for spinning with rubber fish, jigs, creature baits, and other soft plastics on predatory species. Pair them with a standard jig head, or use them alongside a hookless lead head to give your soft bait maximum freedom of movement and a more natural, enticing action — a key advantage when fish are finicky.
