CARBONITE XP CBV-40F
incl. VAT, excl.
The Okuma Carbonite V2 Feeder CBV-40 FD combines corrosion-resistant construction with smooth retrieval for precise feeder and method work. Built around an Even Flow line roller and computer-balanced rotor, this reel delivers consistent drag and tangle-free line lay session after session.
The Quick-Set infinite anti-reverse system eliminates back-play the moment you engage the handle, while the precision elliptical gearing and machined brass pinion ensure smooth winding under load. Two ball bearings plus one roller bearing support the Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) for balanced retrieval, and the RESII computer-balanced rotor system minimizes wobble even when cranking in heavy feeders.
Graphite body, sideplate and rotor construction keeps weight down to 291 g without sacrificing strength. The shallow aluminum spool holds sufficient mono for feeder fishing (180 m of 0.25 mm line), and the rigid metal handle with EVA knob provides a secure grip in wet conditions. After saltwater or long campaigns, a quick rinse and occasional oiling maintain performance.
The Carbonite V2 Feeder line offers two sizes to match your feeder setup and target species:
CBV-40 FD (this model) — 291 g, 5.0:1 ratio, 76 cm retrieve, 8 kg max drag, 0.25/180 line capacity — ideal for light to medium feeder rigs, bream, tench, and smaller carp on commercial fisheries or canals
CBV-55 FD — larger capacity and frame for heavier feeders, bigger carp, and distance work on rivers or reservoirs
