The Gamakatsu Specialist RX is a dedicated carp hook engineered for hair rig presentations with boilies, pellets, and particle baits. Size 2 offers a confident balance between hooking power and versatility across a wide range of carp fishing scenarios.
The ultra-fine, chemically sharpened point drives home at the lightest bite, while the slightly inward-angled eye aligns the hook perfectly along the hair rig, maximising the turning action the moment a carp picks up the bait. The inward-turned point also resists blunting when dragged across gravel, rock, or uneven lake beds — keeping the point fishing-sharp cast after cast.
The shank is flat-forged and curved, giving the Specialist RX exceptional rigidity and resistance to bending during powerful runs and hard-pressured fights.
