The FTM Omura tungsten beads are purpose-built components for anglers who tie their own ultra light (UL) jig heads for trout spinning. At 2.8 mm, this pack of 8 round-hole beads gives you the fine sizing needed for the smallest, most finesse-oriented rigs.
Tungsten is significantly denser than lead or brass, allowing these 2.8 mm beads to carry meaningful weight in a very small diameter. The result is a jig head that sinks quickly and stays in the strike zone, yet presents a compact, natural profile that educated trout find harder to refuse.
The round hole is sized to slide cleanly onto a wide variety of trout hooks without tools. Once positioned, the bead bonds securely with standard adhesive, keeping it locked in place during casts and strikes. Building a custom jig head takes seconds, not minutes.
The Omura range is available in four sizes. Smaller beads suit lighter setups and cautious fish; larger beads add more weight for deeper water or faster currents. Pack counts vary by size.
2.8 mm – 8 pcs: The finest option in the range. Ideal for the lightest UL rigs, small trout hooks, and slow or shallow presentations where minimal weight is needed.
3.3 mm – 7 pcs: A versatile mid-small size, suitable for general trout spinning with soft plastics in typical stream and lake conditions.
3.8 mm – 6 pcs: Mid-large size for deeper pools, faster water, or when a slightly heavier jig head is needed to reach the bottom efficiently.
4.6 mm – 5 pcs: The heaviest option; best for deep or fast-flowing water where maximum sink rate is a priority.
