It is intended for light to medium freshwater predator fishing for perch, trout, pike and zander. The supplier specifies spinning, light jigging and light trolling, including perch jigs and trout spinners, so it covers several lure-fishing approaches rather than one specialist technique.
The stated capacity is 190 m of 0.25 mm line. For perch and zander, the supplier suggests 0.20–0.28 mm monofilament or braid of comparable breaking strength, with stronger line possible for pike. Use the 0.25 mm capacity as your reference when comparing line choices, as capacity changes with diameter.
Yes, the supplier explicitly matches it to the Zebco Trophy rod series. The size 2000 reel weighs 224 g, giving you a concrete weight to consider when putting together a Trophy-series setup.
The 7+1 bearings support an even retrieve, and the graphite body and rotor provide a lightweight, stable construction. To help maintain that running action, the supplier recommends wiping the body with a dry cloth after fishing and occasionally oiling the reel shaft and handle with suitable reel oil.

The Zebco Trophy XFD is a spinning reel for light to medium freshwater predator fishing. Its 7+1 bearings support a smooth, even retrieve, while the graphite body and rotor provide a lightweight, stable construction. It suits beginners and recreational anglers looking for one reel for perch, trout, pike and zander.
Use it for conventional spinning, working light jigs for perch or retrieving spinners for trout. The supplier also specifies light trolling for pike and zander. Jigging around groynes and spinning in flowing water are among its stated applications. The reel is matched to Zebco Trophy-series rods, making it an option for building a coordinated setup or complementing existing tackle.
The size 2000 weighs 224 g and has a 5.2:1 gear ratio for a balanced retrieve. Its stated drag force is 5 kg, and line capacity is 190 m of 0.25 mm line. These figures let you compare reel weight, gearing and line capacity when choosing your setup.
For perch and zander, the supplier suggests 0.20–0.28 mm monofilament or braid of comparable breaking strength. Stronger line can be used for pike. The quoted capacity applies to 0.25 mm line, not every diameter in that range.
Wipe the body with a dry cloth after fishing. Occasionally lubricate the reel shaft and handle with suitable reel oil to help maintain the even running action.
