No initial spooling is needed. The reel comes loaded with 0.14 mm PE braid, so you can mount it on your rod without first buying and spooling a separate main line.
It suits freshwater trout fishing and light perch spinning on rivers and lakes. The compact 1000 size is intended for light to ultralight spinning rods, with the supplier suggesting casting-weight ratings up to around 10–12 g. Small spinners and mini softbaits are named applications.
Yes. The anodised aluminium spool accepts monofilament and braid in suitable diameters, so the factory-loaded 0.14 mm PE braid does not tie you to that line type for later trips.
Fold the handle in to save space and help prevent transport damage. After use, wipe the reel dry and store it somewhere dry. The supplier also recommends light care of the moving parts with reel oil to extend service life.

The Zebco FD is a lightweight spinning reel for freshwater trout fishing and light perch spinning. Supplied in size 1000 with 0.14 mm PE (polyethylene) braided line already spooled, it saves beginners and recreational anglers the initial line-loading step. Mount it on a suitable rod without having to spool the line first.
The compact 1000 size suits light to ultralight spinning rods. The supplier suggests rods with casting-weight ratings up to around 10–12 g. Its intended uses include fishing small lures for trout, jigging mini softbaits for perch and casting small spinners on rivers and lakes. This is a freshwater reel, not a stated saltwater model.
A precision-made worm gear provides an even, smooth retrieve. The graphite body keeps weight down, while the CNC-machined, anodised aluminium spool and CNC-machined aluminium handle provide dimensional stability and solid power transfer when playing fish.
The folding handle takes up less space in storage and transport. Fold it away to help avoid damage in transit. The factory-loaded 0.14 mm PE braid can be replaced with suitably sized monofilament or braided line on the aluminium spool.
After fishing, wipe the reel dry and store it in a dry place. Lightly oiling the moving parts is the supplier's care advice for extending service life.
