The WFT Electra 1200PR HP (High Power) is a purpose-built electric multiplier reel designed for deep-sea saltwater fishing in extreme depths — where manual reeling simply stops being an option.

Consistent Retrieval at Any Depth

When fishing beyond 150 m — or even 300 m — in Norwegian fjords, steady current and sheer line volume make manual retrieval exhausting and inefficient. The Electra 1200PR HP solves this with a powerful electric motor delivering a retrieval speed of 160 m/min and a pulling force of 35 kg. Rigged baits can be wound in electrically while your rod sits in the holder, leaving hands free to prepare the next drop. Crucially, smooth, continuous electric retrieval reduces hook-hole enlargement in soft-mouthed species like cod, ling, and lumb — keeping more fish on the line all the way to the surface.

Auto-Jigging Program and Harness Eyelets

A built-in jigging program actively searches for fish schools at variable depths — redfish and saithe at unspecified water columns can be located and then systematically targeted. Once a school is found, the program animates the rig to trigger bites reliably. For extended sessions with heavy gear, the integrated harness eyelets allow direct connection to a fighting belt, a comfort feature rare in this reel class that meaningfully reduces fatigue during long drifts.

Choose the Right Variant

This is currently the only listed variant of the WFT Electra electric multiplier range. For rod pairing, WFT recommends selecting a boat or pirk rod rated one line class higher than you would for a manual multiplier — for example, 30 lbs instead of 20 lbs, or 50 lbs instead of 30 lbs. The high torque of the electric motor can accelerate quickly, and lighter rod tips may flutter during short power bursts; a stiffer blank absorbs this cleanly. WFT boat and pirk rods in 20 lbs, 30 lbs, or 50 lbs are the recommended pairings.
