This version is 190 cm long, has XXH power and is rated for 14–70 g casting weight. It is intended for heavier vertical fishing and the stated lure-casting techniques, so choose casting lures within that weight range.
Westin recommends a size 200 Westin BaitCaster reel. The rod has a Fuji® T2C carbon reel seat with a screw-down carbon hood, so plan a baitcasting setup rather than a fixed-spool spinning setup.
The rod has a 1+1-section construction and a stated transport length of 168 cm. A neoprene rod bag and recyclable triangular cardboard box are supplied. Check that your vehicle or storage space accommodates 168 cm even with the rod packed down.

The Westin W8 VERTICAL JIGGING-T 2ND is a baitcasting rod for modern vertical fishing, with two included interchangeable handles that adapt it to boat fishing and casting from the bank. Its Toray® Torayca® T1100GC & M40JB blank combines power with sensitivity, giving you feedback while working lures and the strength needed for heavier vertical presentations.
Use the shorter handle for heavier vertical fishing and pelagic fishing from the boat. Fit the longer handle for precise casting with cranks, jerkbaits, Swims and spinnerbaits from the boat or bank. The handle change lets you switch between these techniques with the same rod.
The 190 cm version has XXH power and a casting-weight range of 14–70 g. It uses a 1+1-section construction and weighs 128 g. Match your lure weight to the stated range when choosing a casting setup.
Westin recommends a size 200 Westin BaitCaster reel. The Fuji® T2C carbon reel seat secures the reel, with a custom-designed 360° screw-down carbon hood. Tangle-free Fuji® SIC guides help reduce line tangles during lure fishing. The Seaguide® Arc Hook 2.5 hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between presentations.
The stated transport length is 168 cm, so allow for that length in your vehicle or storage space. A neoprene rod bag is included, and the rod is supplied in a recyclable triangular cardboard box. The blank has an FE2O3 iron oxide finish, and every rod carries a unique serial number for individual identification.
