The Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd is a spinning rod for ultralight lure fishing and street fishing. Its light Torayca® T1100 high-carbon blank provides sensitive feedback to help you detect subtle indications while working small lures.
Use it to jig tiny shads, crank or twitch micro-hardbaits, or fish very light metal lures. This 215 cm L model has a 2–10 g casting range and a net weight of 96 g. Westin recommends a size 1000 or 1500 fixed-spool reel for balance.
The blank uses Toray® Torayca® T1100GC & M40JB with a FE2O3 iron oxide colour. Tangle-free Fuji® SIC guides help limit line tangles during lure fishing. The Fuji® T2C carbon reel seat holds the reel, complemented by a 360° custom-designed screw-down carbon hood. A Seaguide® Arc Hook 2.5 hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between casts. Each rod has a unique serial number.
The two-section rod has a stated transport length of 119 cm. A neoprene rod bag is included for storage and transport, and the rod is supplied in a recyclable triangular cardboard box.
