Built as an all-day spinning rod, the Westin W8 Shad & Jig covers a wide spread of lure styles from light jigging to heavier shads, deep-diving crankbaits and larger metal lures. Its light, sensitive blank is designed to keep contact with the lure while still giving the power needed for controlled hooksets.
Westin uses a Torayca T1100GC and M40JB carbon blank to combine low weight, sensitivity and reserve power. That makes the rod suitable when you want clear feedback on the retrieve without moving into an overly specialised setup.
