It is rated for 50 to 120 g and supports jigs, hardbaits, pilkers and heavy softbaits. Choose lure weights within that range for the intended shore-jigging use.
It is intended for saltwater fishing from rocks, piers and beaches. The supplier names cod, pollack, halibut, tuna, barracuda and giant trevally, so it covers several demanding shore-predator situations.
The two-piece rod has a transport length of 170 cm and includes a neoprene rod bag. Check that this length fits your vehicle or travel arrangement before buying.
It is aimed more at experienced anglers because its heavy-lure shore-jigging use requires familiarity with jigging technique. Beginners can benefit from the sensitive feedback, but should first learn the technique before choosing this demanding setup.

The Westin W8 Rockshore Apex Predator LR is a saltwater shore-jigging rod for repeatedly casting jigs, hardbaits and heavy softbaits from rocks, piers or beaches. Its Toray carbon blank combines T1100GC, T800 and M40JB carbon to keep the 290 cm rod at 301 g while providing the stated power for 50 to 120 g lures.
The 290 cm blank supports long casts from the coast, while its sensitive construction transmits lure movement, bottom contact and bites to the hand. The MHH designation stands for Medium Heavy-Heavy and matches the demanding work with heavier saltwater lures and strong fish.
All guides sit on one section of the two-piece rod. This keeps the joint free from guide loading and is intended to improve power transfer and durability. Tangle-free Fuji SIC Gunsmoke stainless-steel guides help line pass smoothly and provide corrosion resistance in saltwater use.
A Fuji DPS reel seat holds the reel, while the Fuji BRC rubber grip and compact EVA handle provide a secure, slip-resistant hold. The EVA is described as UV-resistant and saltwater-resistant, which suits exposed coastal sessions. A tangle-free stainless-steel hook keeper keeps the lure attachment controlled between casts.
The rod separates into two pieces and has a transport length of 170 cm. A neoprene rod bag is included for protection on the way to the coast. Its stated uses cover shore jigging for cod, pollack and halibut, heavy hardbaits for barracuda and giant trevally, and long casts for tuna. This demanding shore-jigging setup is aimed more at experienced anglers. Beginners can benefit from the sensitive feedback, but should first become familiar with jigging technique. Each rod also carries an individual serial number.
