The Westin W8 Rockshore Apex Predator is a saltwater slow-jigging rod for experienced sea anglers fishing deep water and strong currents. Its Toray® Torayca® T1100GC, T800 & M40JB carbon blank combines bite sensitivity with the backbone needed for demanding fights.
The 295 cm rod has XH (Extra Heavy) power, a 70–200 g casting weight and a weight of 364 g. It supports Long-Sink-Jerk and Half-Pitch techniques from a boat, as well as fishing from rocky shores and piers where its length supports long casts. Supported targets include halibut, cod, coalfish, tuna, Giant Trevally (GT), barracuda, snapper and sea bass, from Atlantic and northern waters to tropical venues.

The compact split EVA grip provides a secure hold when wet and resists UV and saltwater exposure, helping with handling during longer sessions.
