The Westin W8 Powercast is a spinning rod for pike fishing from boat or bank. Its ultra-fast, lightweight Toray® Torayca® T1100GC & M40JB blank transmits lure movement, while the sensitive tip keeps smaller pike engaging to play alongside the power needed for large fish.
This XXH version measures 233 cm and has a casting weight of 40–130 g. Choose pike lures within that range and pair the rod with a fixed-spool reel of size 4000 or larger. The rod weighs 171 g.
Tangle-free Fuji® SIC guides help reduce line tangles during casting. The Fuji® T2C carbon reel seat holds the reel, complemented by a custom-designed 360° screw-down carbon hood. A Seaguide® Arc Hook 2.5 hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between casts. The blank colour is FE2O3 iron oxide, and each rod carries a unique serial number.
The two-section rod has a transport length of 128 cm, so allow that space when packing it. It comes with a neoprene rod bag for protection during transport and is delivered in a recyclable triangular cardboard box.
