Westin describes the complete bag as water resistant, not as fully waterproof. The fabric has a waterproof TPU coating and the YKK® zipper is water repellent, so do not assume the whole bag has the same waterproof protection as the coated fabric.
Padded inner walls protect the contents during transport. These walls fold up inside when the bag is empty, reducing its size for storage rather than leaving the full padded structure in place.
A carry handle and a removable padded shoulder strap are supplied. You can carry the bag by hand or over your shoulder and detach the strap when it is not needed. The stated net weight is 1.5 kg before adding your gear.

Its padded inner walls protect the contents during transport and fold up inside to reduce the bag's size when empty. The XL version in Silver/Grey has a capacity of 110 litres, a length of 78 cm and a width of 43 cm.
The outer construction combines 420D nylon and 600D Oxford fabric with a waterproof TPU coating. A water-repellent YKK® zipper limits water entry at the opening. Westin describes the complete bag as water resistant, so the coating should not be taken as a whole-bag waterproof rating. UTX-FLEX® buckles are also fitted.
The fabric composition is specified as 100% nylon for the grey fabric and 100% polyester for the black fabric. The carrying straps are 100% polypropylene. The inner bag's outer material and its padding are each 100% polyethylene.
