Westin W3 C&R Foldable River Landing Net: land large predators in flowing water

This foldable landing net is designed for large predatory fish caught on lures, particularly in fast-flowing rivers. Its large 40 mm mesh makes it easier to manoeuvre in the current, while the deep rubberised net supports gentle fish handling and C&R (catch and release).

XL dimensions and construction

The black XL version measures 70 cm wide by 85 cm long, with a net depth of 80 cm and a 120 cm handle. These dimensions define the space available for landing large predators. An extra-strong aluminium frame supports the net, and the product weighs 1.17 kg. The mesh is specified as 100% polyester with a coating of 100% polychloride.

Folding for transport and storage

The strong telescopic handle has a slide-and-click system and folds easily, making the net easier to transport and store between sessions.

Frequently asked

What fishing situations is this landing net designed for?

It is designed for landing large predatory fish when lure fishing in fast-flowing rivers. The 40 mm mesh makes the net easier to manoeuvre in the current, so its intended use is river predator fishing rather than a fine-mesh net application.

How large is the XL net, and does it include a handle?

Yes, it is a complete net with a 120 cm telescopic handle. The net measures 70 cm wide by 85 cm long and is 80 cm deep, giving you the dimensions to judge its fit for the large predators you intend to land.

Is the mesh suitable for catch and release?

Yes, the supplier describes the deep rubberised mesh as suitable for fish care and catch and release. It supports gentle handling after landing, but its 40 mm openings should be considered if you need to net small fish.

How does the net pack away for transport?

The telescopic handle folds easily and uses a slide-and-click system for transport and storage. This lets you fold the net between sessions, though the supplier does not state a confirmed transport length. Its product weight is 1.17 kg.
