The W2 SBass (Sea Bass) Travel is a fast-action spinning rod built for anglers who want full-sized sea bass performance without the logistics headache. At 2.7 m and breaking down to 76.5 cm, it fits carry-on luggage and still handles a 9–35 g casting range with authority.

High-Sensitivity Carbon Blank

Constructed from 24/30 tonne high-performance carbon fibre, the blank transmits lure movement and bottom contact with impressive clarity. The fast action keeps the tip responsive to subtle bites while the lower sections provide the backbone needed to drive hooks home and work fish away from cover.

Saltwater-Ready Hardware

Seaguide® SXOHLSG premium guides resist corrosion in harsh saltwater conditions, and the Seaguide® XVS reel seat locks your reel firmly in place even after repeated exposure to spray and sand. Both variants share the same 2.7 m / 4-piece travel format and fast action, differing only in power and casting weight. Choose based on lure weight and target conditions.

W2 SBass Travel 9–35 g (M / Medium) — 167 g: The current rod. Best for lighter soft plastics, shallow stickbaits, and smaller metal jigs in the 9–35 g range. Ideal for calmer surf, estuaries, harbours, and situations where delicate lure presentation matters. Well-suited to bass, sea trout, and smaller coastal predators.
W2 SBass Travel 15–42 g (MH / Medium-Heavy) — 178 g: More backbone for heavier jigs, large hard lures, and rough surf. Better when long casting into wind or working fast currents, and when targeting larger bass or fishing from exposed rock marks.
