Soft shads, twisters, plugs, crankbaits, pirks and metal jigs suit the stated 9–35 g casting range. Select weights within that range for coastal predators such as sea bass, cod and mackerel.
The supplier recommends a size 3000–4000 fixed-spool reel. For sea bass, it specifies a 0.25–0.35 mm fluorocarbon leader with braided main line, combining bite feedback with an abrasion-resistant leader.
The 254 cm rod separates into two sections with a transport length of 134 cm. Allow that length in your vehicle or rod storage, and use the included cloth bag to protect the blank and guides from scratches.

The Westin W2 Precision Cast is a sea fishing rod for saltwater predators from beaches, rocks, piers and boats. Its blank combines 80 % 30T and 20 % 24T carbon for sensitivity and backbone, helping you detect subtle bites and control fish.
This 254 cm M version weighs 143 g and has a casting weight of 9–35 g. It covers soft shads, twisters, plugs, crankbaits, pirks and metal jigs within that range, from finesse presentations to more forceful lure work in rougher coastal conditions. The supplier lists sea bass, cod, coalfish, mackerel, garfish, bonito and barracuda as target species. Choose lure weights within the stated range even when targeting larger predators.
The supplier recommends size 3000–4000 fixed-spool reels. For sea bass, it recommends a 0.25–0.35 mm fluorocarbon leader with braided main line for bite feedback and an abrasion-resistant, low-visibility leader. The Seaguide XVS reel seat holds the reel securely, while Seaguide Tuxqlsg Gunsmoke guides provide low-friction line guidance.
The premium EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) split grip offers a secure hold in wet conditions and comfort during longer sessions. A stainless steel, tangle-free hook keeper secures the hook between fishing spots. The two-piece rod packs down to 134 cm, and the included cloth bag protects the blank and guides from scratches during transport and storage. Its sensitivity and manageable handling also make it suitable for beginners learning to recognise bites.
