The Westin W2 Jigging is a one-piece sea fishing rod for vertical jigging with long or short metal jigs and heavy softbaits. Its blank combines 80 % 30T and 20 % 24T carbon for an aggressive, responsive action that transmits rod movements to the lure and provides feedback from bites.
The 183 cm M (Medium) version weighs 218 g and has a maximum casting weight of 150 g. Its compact length suits working lures beneath the boat. The supplier names slow-pitch and high-speed jigging, targeting cod, saithe, halibut, tuna, barracuda, amberjack and GT (giant trevally).
The non-slip EVA grip supports comfortable handling during extended jigging sessions. Seaguide Tuxqlsg Gunsmoke guides provide low-friction line guidance in saltwater, while the Seaguide DPSM reel seat holds the reel securely. The supplier recommends a suitable multiplier or a size 4000 to 6000 spinning reel, with braided line rated PE 1.5 to 3 according to the target fish and depth.
A tangle-free stainless-steel hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between uses. A cloth bag is included for storage and transport. The rod is one piece, so allow room for its full 183 cm length rather than a packed-down multi-section rod.
