It is designed specifically for baitcasting reels and has a VFC-2 reel seat. Choose a baitcasting reel for this model, not a fixed-spool spinning reel.
The rod is intended for both hard and soft lures, with perch, zander, asp, trout and pike named by Westin. This H version has a 12–38 g casting range, so match your lure weight to that rating when choosing a setup for your target fish.
The sensitive blank helps detect bites, while the progressive action provides hook-setting power in bony predator mouths. This combination supports anglers switching between hard and soft lures without choosing a rod dedicated to just one lure technique.
The 220 cm rod has two sections and a stated transport length of 116 cm. Use that packed-down length when checking whether it fits your storage or transport space.

The Westin W2 Finesse Shad-T is a casting rod designed specifically for baitcasting reels and fishing with both hard and soft lures. Its sensitive blank helps you detect bites, while the progressive-fast action provides the power to set hooks in predators' bony mouths. Westin names perch, zander, asp, trout and pike as target species, making this a versatile option for anglers using different lure techniques.
This H-power model is 220 cm long and rated for casting weights of 12–38 g. Choose lures within that range for this version rather than treating the series' broad lure compatibility as an unrestricted weight rating. The VFC-2 reel seat is part of the baitcasting setup, so pair the rod with a baitcasting reel rather than a fixed-spool spinning reel.
The blank combines 24- and 30-tonne High Performance Carbon. Its sensitivity supports bite detection, while the progressive response supplies hook-setting power. Seaguide® premium guides route the line along the blank. The split handle uses premium-grade EVA for the grip areas, with a custom-made non-slip rubber bottom cap. A Seaguide® Dhook hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between fishing spots.
The two-section construction reduces the 220 cm fishing length to a stated transport length of 116 cm, which is the dimension to check against your storage space. Westin lists a net weight of 208 g.
