Westin recommends the W6 300BC or 301BC baitcasting reel for this heavy-lure setup. The Fuji® Titanium Torzite® K-guides are suitable for braid, so the rod supports a braided-line baitcasting setup, although no line-strength rating is supplied.
The 1+1 sections give a transport length of 193 cm, so allow for that length when checking your vehicle or storage space. A round Cordura tube with a 3K carbon-look PU leather covering and a velvet-backed rod bag are included to protect it in transit.
Coastal use for suitable predators is described, but its primary purpose is freshwater predator fishing with 120–260 g lures. Treat coastal fishing as a secondary application within that lure range, not as evidence of a dedicated sea-fishing design.
Rinse it with fresh water and store it dry. The supplier also advises checking and cleaning the spigot joint, so remove any dirt there before reassembly and use the supplied tube and bag for transport protection.

Its balanced Torayca® carbon blank with X5 carbon-layer technology combines bite feedback with the backbone needed for large predators, helping you work substantial lures during long sessions.
At 236 cm, with a casting weight of 120–260 g and XH (Extra Heavy) power, this version is intended for heavy softbaits, large plugs and glide baits. The moderate-fast action provides sensitivity without an overly rigid feel. Supported applications include jigging heavy softbaits, working glide baits in shallow water and trolling large plugs. Large lakes and broad river stretches are typical settings where casting reach and power matter. It is primarily a freshwater predator rod, with coastal use also described for suitable target fish.
The Torayca® T1100G+M46X+Nanoalloy® 55TON blank uses X5 carbon layers to balance power and feel. The four-axis and 1K carbon-reinforced spigot joint supports even loading across the 1+1 sections, allowing them to work together under casting and fighting loads. The rod weighs 235 g.
Tangle-free Fuji® Titanium Torzite® K-guides support smooth line travel and are suitable for braid. CR guide wraps complete the guide assembly. The light, high-strength Fuji® TCH reel seat is made from carbon-reinforced plastic, with a high-strength aluminium 360° screw locking collar for secure reel seating.
