It is designed for Texas and Carolina rigs, softbaits and small crankbaits in the 7–21 g casting range. Finesse jigging and drop-shot fishing are also supported, so you can vary your presentation without moving outside the stated lure-weight range.
Use a baitcasting reel. Westin recommends the W6 50BC or 100BC, giving you two named options for the setup. This is not a rod for a fixed-spool spinning reel, and baitcasting requires casting practice.
The supplier specifies freshwater perch, zander and pike. Its 221 cm length and 7–21 g casting range cover bottom-contact finesse rigs and small crankbaits around drop-offs, jetties and weeds, rather than heavy-lure pike fishing.
The two-section rod has a transport length of 121 cm. A round Cordura tube and a velvet-backed, 3K-carbon-look PU-leather rod bag are included, so plan storage space around that packed rod length.
Rinse the rod and guides with clean water and let them dry before packing. Keep the carbon-reinforced spigot joint clean for a secure fit, and store the rod in its supplied bag and Cordura tube to protect it between trips.

The Westin W10 Finesse-T T&C is a baitcasting rod for freshwater predator fishing with Texas and Carolina rigs, softbaits and small crankbaits. Its sensitive Torayca® carbon blank transmits lure movements and subtle bites, helping you keep track of bottom-contact presentations for perch and zander. The supplier also specifies pike fishing with light crankbaits.
This version measures 221 cm, casts 7–21 g and carries the supplier's M (Medium) rating. It suits small soft worms on bottom rigs, finesse jigging and small crankbaits within that casting range. Drop-shot fishing is another supported use. Drop-offs, jetties and weedy areas are among the stated fishing situations.
Use a baitcasting reel, not a fixed-spool spinning reel. Westin recommends its W6 50BC or 100BC models. For Texas and Carolina rigs, the supplier suggests 0.08–0.15 mm braided main line with a fluorocarbon leader. This line suggestion relates to those finesse rigs, not a separate pike-specific leader setup. Braided line supports direct bite transmission. Familiarity with baitcasting equipment is useful, as casting these reels takes practice.
The blank uses Torayca® T1100G+M46X+Nanoalloy® 55Ton carbon. Hand-built X5 carbon layers and four-axis outer carbon reinforcement combine sensitivity with power, so lure feedback remains central to this rod's intended bottom-fishing use. The rod weighs 105 g.
Tangle-free Fuji® Titanium Torzite® K guides support smooth line flow. The lightweight Fuji® TCH reel seat is made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, and a high-strength aluminium 360° screw lock holds the reel securely. The G-Hyper Neo Carbon and cork handle provides a non-slip hold during lure work and playing fish. The butt features a non-slip Neo rubber-cork gimbal.
The two sections meet at a spigot joint reinforced with four-axis and 1K carbon for a secure fit. A Seaguide® stainless-steel D hook keeper provides a place to secure the hook between presentations. Other details include CR guide wraps, an individual serial number and individual inspection of each rod.
Transport length is 121 cm. A round Cordura tube and a rod bag made from 3K-carbon-look polyurethane (PU) leather with velvet backing are included to protect the rod during storage and travel.
Rinse the rod and guides with clean water after use, then let the rod dry before putting it in the bag. Check that the spigot joint is clean to maintain a secure connection, and use the supplied Cordura tube for transport and storage.
