It is designed for soft lures and swimbaits such as Tommy the Trout. Pass the rig through the swimbait and secure it with the spikes, which hold the rig in the lure until a bite.
The release prevents the fish from using the lure as a lever during the fight. This can reduce hook pulls, but it does not guarantee that every hooked fish will be landed.
Check the 40 cm rig length, 40.8 kg strength rating and size 1/0 hooks against your intended lure setup. The length describes the rig, not a recommended swimbait length.

The Westin Inline Rig is a steel-wire rig for mounting soft swimbaits when fishing for pike. It passes through the lure and is secured with spikes. On a bite, the leader releases from the lure so the fish cannot use the lure as a lever, which can reduce hook pulls during the fight.
The system is intended for soft lures and swimbaits such as Tommy the Trout. Thread the rig through the swimbait, then secure it to the lure with the spikes to hold it in place until a bite.
This version is 40 cm long, has a strength rating of 40.8 kg and uses size 1/0 hooks. These are the specifications to check when choosing the rig for your lure setup.
