The Westin Gunnar The Goby R2F (Ready to Fish) is a precision-crafted soft plastic swimbait that mirrors the look and movement of a real goby — the number-one forage fish for zander and perch across European rivers and lakes. The R2F version comes pre-rigged with a super-sharp size 1/0 single hook mounted in a lead-free stand-up harness, so the hook point rides upright and ready to connect. The dorsal fin doubles as an integrated weed guard, letting you drag and hop the lure through rocky, weedy bottom structure without constantly fouling. The 8cm body and 9g weight hit a versatile middle ground — enough mass to cast and maintain bottom contact in moderate currents, light enough to stay in the strike zone at a slow pace.
Gunnar's fat body produces a pronounced wobbling action on the pause, while the fast-moving hammer tail kicks hard on every lift and dart.
