It is intended for predators including perch, zander, pike and asp. Jigging brings out the darting and rolling movement of its oversized flat head, while the long bucktail fibres retain their slim profile and provide lifelike action.
The pack contains two 3.5 g jigs in Shad, each with a size 2/0 hook and BN (Black Nickel) coating. Check the weight and hook size against your tackle and intended presentation before choosing this version.
The Technical Locking Curve (TLC) shape supports hook sets and helps hold fish securely. This addresses hooking and retention after a strike, rather than changing the jig's darting and rolling action, which comes from the head shape.
Use pliers or a hook remover and secure exposed hooks for transport because the points can cause puncture injuries. Store the jigs dry in a protective box and check for bent points, rust or other damage before fishing. Do not reuse damaged or corroded hooks.

The VMC 7158 MOONTAIL JIG is a bucktail jig for perch, zander, pike and asp. Its oversized, flat aspirin-shaped head encourages darting and rolling movement when jigged, while the elongated bucktail fibres retain a slim profile and create lifelike action.
The flat head produces the darting and rolling presentation during jigging. The long bucktail dressing maintains its shape as it moves, giving the lure a slender outline. Extra-large holographic 3D eyes add a realistic visual detail.
The Technical Locking Curve (TLC) hook shape supports hook sets and helps hold fish securely after the strike. This version has a size 2/0 hook with a BN (Black Nickel) coating.
The supplied version weighs 3.5 g and comes in Shad. Each pack contains two jigs in this specification. Use the stated weight and hook size to check the fit with your tackle and intended presentation.
Check the hook for bent points, corrosion or other damage before use and do not use damaged tackle. Use pliers or a hook remover to reduce the risk of punctures, secure exposed hooks during transport and store the jigs dry in a protective box. Keep them away from unsupervised children and pets, and keep people and animals clear when casting. Follow local fishing and material restrictions and do not leave tackle or packaging in the water or on the bank.
