Gently brake the main line just before the rig lands to help it straighten. Let it reach the bottom, then work the rod with wrist vibrations at roughly 45° while retrieving very slowly. Brief pauses let the rig regain bottom contact if it rises too far.

Pass the main line into the slightly pointed end and out through the rounded end. Just before the rig touches the water, gently brake the main line to help prevent tangles and let the rig land straight.
After casting, let the rig sink to the bottom with the rod pointing straight towards the landing point. Then raise the rod to roughly 45° to the water. Use wrist movements to make the rod vibrate while retrieving very slowly. Pause the retrieve briefly whenever the rig rises too far from the bottom so it can regain bottom contact. This keeps the presentation in the zone being fished.
