No. It is designed for gentle unhooking of trout and is also suitable for coarse fish when pole or feeder fishing, so it can serve both types of fishing.
The 20 cm tool follows the hooklength to the hook. Thread the line into the front eye, slide the remover down to the hook and release it with a short movement opposite to the direction in which it entered.
It has no sharp edges. This makes it gentle on the hooklength and rig while the front eye guides it along the line during unhooking.

The TFT Hakenlöser is a white, 20 cm hook remover for quickly and gently unhooking trout. Its front eye guides the tool along the hooklength to the hook, including hooks sitting deep in the mouth. It is also suitable for coarse fish caught when pole or feeder fishing.
The 20 cm length sits comfortably in the hand and provides reach for deeper hooks. The tool has no sharp edges, making it gentle on hooklengths and rigs as it slides along the line.
Thread the hooklength into the eye at the front of the remover, then slide the tool along the line until it reaches the hook. A short movement opposite to the direction in which the hook entered releases it.
