It is built for saltwater boat fishing, specifically pirking for cod and jigging for halibut. Its powerful, light carbon blank suits these active lure techniques.
The supplier specifies a casting weight below 200 g for this 2.1 m version. Keep the lure weight below that limit rather than treating 200 g as an unrestricted working weight.
The 2.1 m rod separates into two sections and has a transport length of 110 cm. Allow that length when choosing storage or transport space.

The Spro Salty Beast Jig Pilk Fast is a sea fishing rod built for saltwater boat fishing, particularly pirking for cod and jigging for halibut. Its powerful yet light carbon blank combines strength with low weight for active lure work.
This version is 2.1 m long and weighs 234 g. The supplier specifies a casting weight below 200 g, so choose lure weights within that stated limit. The rod has eight guides.
The two-piece construction reduces the transport length to 110 cm, making the rod easier to stow on the way to the boat than at its full fishing length.
