They open small split rings on artificial lures and cut line during spinning-leader building. The small split-ring function and braid cutter combine both tasks in one tool. The supplier specifies small rings, without giving an exact compatible size range.
The braid cutter is intended for braided line, and its sharp blades are described as cleanly cutting different line materials for leader building. No other materials or maximum line diameters are named, so compatibility with a specific additional material or diameter is not established.
The pliers fold down to a small transport size that allows storage in a tackle box. They are intended for spinning but are also described as useful for trout fishing, catfish fishing and other methods, so their ring-opening and line-cutting functions are not limited to predator lure fishing.
