It is developed specifically for casting and retrieving Spombs. Its 145 cm retrieve per handle turn speeds up repeated baiting casts. A separate reel for the fishing rig keeps this dedicated baiting reel ready for feeding.
The spool holds 300 m of 0.18 mm braid. This provides line capacity for long-range baiting on large waters. The stated capacity applies to that braid diameter, not to every line type or diameter.
Slow spool oscillation lays the line evenly, and the 6+1 bearing system supports smooth running under load. Even line lay reduces irregular winding that could interfere with the next baiting cast.
Two spring-loaded line clips hold the line in position on the spool. They help keep it from coming loose between baiting casts or while transporting the reel.

The Spomb Rapide Reel is a size 14000 fixed-spool reel developed for casting and retrieving Spombs when baiting for carp. Its 145 cm retrieve per handle turn reduces the number of turns needed to bring the Spomb back, saving time during repeated baiting casts, particularly at distance on large waters.
A 5.7:1 gear ratio and large spool diameter provide the high retrieve rate. The 6+1 bearing system supports smooth running under load, while slow spool oscillation lays the line evenly to reduce irregular winding that could interfere with the next cast.
The spool holds 300 m of 0.18 mm braided line, providing line capacity for long-range baiting on waters such as gravel pits and reservoirs. Two spring-loaded line clips hold the line in position between casts or during transport. The reel weighs 653 g, a useful consideration when choosing a setup for repeated casting.
Anti-reverse and a rotor brake help prevent unwanted reverse movement. Maximum drag is 18 kg. This reel is specifically optimized for Spomb baiting rather than presented as a general carp-fishing reel. Keeping a separate reel for the fishing rig leaves the Rapide Reel available for feeding.
