The Ground Control Extension Pack excels on soft to medium ground—clay, silt, muddy margins, and boggy terrain. The screw-point tip penetrates these substrates reliably, while the integrated buzz bar points resist twisting. On harder ground, you can deploy the stowable torsion bar for additional security.
The Ground Control Extension Pack is engineered specifically for Sonik Stanz split-stick and buzz bar systems. While the screw-point and buzz bar design are universal carp-fishing concepts, physical compatibility with non-Stanz banksticks is not guaranteed. We recommend using it with genuine Sonik Stanz components.
The torsion bar is an additional reinforcement rod that stows inside the bankstick. Deploy it when fishing extremely hard ground or when you anticipate aggressive, sustained runs that might otherwise cause twisting. It adds mass and structural rigidity to prevent rotation under pressure.
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that hardens the aluminum surface and creates a protective oxide layer.
