High-Module Carbon Blank with Anti-Torsion Core

The blank is constructed from high-module, low-resin carbon, producing a stiff, powerful action capable of launching heavy spod rockets and marker floats to distance. A multi-directional carbon lay-up in the tip section promotes a fast recovery speed for repeatable, accurate casting. The Anti-Torsion Core (ATC) in the handle section adds structural rigidity and channels energy efficiently through the blank on every cast.

Guides and Hardware Built for Heavy-Duty Use

Seaguide TDG rings with a black PVD coating keep overall weight down while ensuring smooth line flow — important when repeatedly casting a loaded spod or retrieving a marker setup. A 50 mm butt ring accommodates heavy braids and thick monofilaments. The anti-tangle tip guide is seamlessly welded to protect the line from snagging. A 17 mm DPS reel seat handles large pit reels comfortably, and the slim Japanese shrink-tube grip maintains a secure hold even during intensive casting sessions. The rod is finished with a semi-matte armoured carbon look and a black anodised butt cap laser-etched with the Sonik "S" logo.
