The Sonik ANGL-R Big River Barbel is a barbel rod developed for rivers in Britain and Europe. Its high-modulus carbon blank combines a powerful butt section with a sensitive tip and a progressive, through action to help control large fish during the fight.
The Avon tip suits float fishing, rolling meat and fishing with a static bait. This gives you a choice of moving and stationary bait presentations for river barbel. The rod measures 3.66 m (12 ft), has a 2.5 lb test curve and weighs 350 g. The test curve is not a casting-weight rating in grams.
M-Series guides are spaced to complement the blank's progressive action. An anti-frap tip ring helps reduce line tangles around the tip, while the screw-down reel seat secures the reel. The slim cork handle provides a narrow grip for handling the rod.
The Avon tip has a glow coating that must first be exposed to a light source, such as a headtorch, to glow in the dark.
