The Savage Gear Squid Dealer brings advanced UV technology to your squid game. Inspired by Japanese egi fishing tradition, this lure combines high-quality outer cloth construction with a lifelike shrimp-fish outline that triggers aggressive strikes from hungry squid.
While invisible to the human eye, the UV-reactive colours glow brightly underwater, standing out to squid in their visual spectrum. Combined with the realistic shrimp-fish profile and built-in rattle, this egi consistently triggers strikes even when squid are selective.
The balanced sink rate lets you fish effectively across multiple depths from 1 to 9 m. Work the lure with subtle lifts and pauses to mimic escaping prey, or allow it to flutter naturally on the drop — the regular sink ratio adapts to various squid behaviours and water conditions.
The Squid Dealer range covers different sizes and sink rates for varied squid fishing scenarios:
