The Savage Gear SG10 baitcasting reel combines machined gears, a rigid aluminium body and an innovative external centrifugal brake to deliver exceptional casting performance and fish-fighting power for serious pike and predator fishing.
The external centrifugal brake system sets the SG10 apart from conventional baitcast reels. Adjust braking force quickly without opening the side plate, resulting in longer casts, fewer backlashes and reliable performance even in strong crosswinds. This user-friendly design helps you focus on presentation rather than reel settings.
Constructed with an EDP painted aluminium frame and side plates, the SG10 delivers a rigid platform that won't flex under load. Ten stainless steel ball bearings (including two ARB Japanese bearings) ensure smooth retrieves, while the A775 hard anodised worm shaft and machined gear with DuraGrease lubrication guarantee long-lasting performance. The 12.3 kg maximum drag handles powerful fish with confidence.
The SG10 300 series is available in two gear ratios and left- or right-hand retrieve to match your fishing style and target species:
SG10 300 5.6:1 Right (current model) — 70 cm retrieve per turn; all-purpose ratio for pike, muskie and larger lures where power and control matter
SG10 300 5.6:1 Left — 70 cm retrieve; same specifications for left-hand retrieve
SG10 300 7.3:1 Right — 91 cm retrieve per turn; high-speed ratio for faster lure retrieves, reaction baits and quick line pick-up
