It is designed for freshwater perch and trout with small softbaits, crankbaits, spinners, spoons and twitchbaits. Its 3–10 g casting weight defines the lure range to choose from, including mini softbaits for bank jigging and small twitchbaits for working structure.
Yes. The sensitive Torayca 30T blank provides bite feedback while its forgiving action cushions fish during the fight. This helps reduce hook pulls and line breakage when learning to handle light tackle, but does not eliminate either risk.
Yes. The 1.98 m rod is intended primarily for bank fishing, including jigging small softbaits and twitching along structure. Its compact length also allows boat use, so it is not limited to bank sessions.
The supplier suggests 0.06–0.10 mm braid or a comparable monofilament line for this 3–10 g ultralight setup. The SeaGuide CCS guides have SiN inserts that help protect braid, so braided line is a supported option rather than requiring monofilament.
The two-section rod has a transport length of 105 cm, compared with 1.98 m assembled. A competition-ready rod sleeve is included, so you can pack the separated sections for protected transport within that length.

The Savage Gear Revenge SG4 UL Game is an ultralight (UL) spinning rod for perch and trout in freshwater. Its Japanese Torayca 30T blank combines sensitive bite feedback with a forgiving action, helping you maintain lure contact while cushioning fish during the fight. This also makes it accessible to anglers starting out with ultralight tackle.
At 1.98 m with a 3–10 g casting weight, this two-section rod suits small softbaits, crankbaits, spinners, spoons and twitchbaits. Its intended uses include jigging mini softbaits from the bank and twitching around structure. Bank fishing is its main focus, though the compact length also allows boat use. The rod weighs 99 g.
SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN inserts provide low-friction line travel during casting and help protect the line, including braid. The SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat holds the reel securely during longer sessions. The supplier suggests 0.06–0.10 mm braid or a comparable monofilament line for this light setup.
The forgiving blank helps reduce the risk of hook pulls and line breakage rather than making the rod excessively stiff. Its two-section construction reduces the transport length to 105 cm, and a competition-ready rod sleeve is included for protected transport.
