It is intended for freshwater perch and trout in rivers, streams and stillwaters. The 1–5 g casting weight suits small softbaits, crankbaits, spinners, spoons and twitchbaits. Choose lures within that range, including for perch drop-shot fishing.
Yes. The Torayca 30T blank provides sensitive bite feedback and a fast yet forgiving action. It cushions sudden pressure during the fight to help reduce hook pulls and line breakage, making light-tackle handling more forgiving without losing bite feedback.
Yes. The SeaGuide CCS guides have SiN inserts that protect fine braid, whose low stretch supports direct bite feedback. Light monofilament is another supported option. The supplier gives no exact line diameter or breaking strain, so there is no specific line rating to match.
The 1.98 m rod separates into two sections and has a transport length of 105 cm. A competition-ready rod bag is included for transport and storage, so allow at least the stated transport length when planning where to stow it.

The Savage Gear Revenge SG4 UL Game is an ultralight (UL) spinning rod for perch and trout in freshwater rivers, streams and stillwaters. Its Japanese Torayca 30T blank combines bite sensitivity with a fast yet forgiving action. It transmits subtle lure contacts while cushioning sudden pressure during the fight to help reduce hook pulls and line breakage. This combination also makes it accessible to anglers starting out with ultralight tackle.
The 1.98 m rod has a casting weight of 1–5 g and weighs 95 g. Choose small softbaits and crankbaits for perch, or spinners and spoons for trout within that weight range. Small twitchbaits and perch drop-shot presentations are also supported uses. The sensitive blank helps reveal bottom contact when jigging around bankside structure, while the fast action suits twitching small minnows along current seams or beneath overhanging branches. Keep lure weights within the stated range.
SeaGuide CCS stainless-steel guides with SiN inserts provide low-friction line passage to support casting distance and reduce line wear. They are also suitable for fine braid. The SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat keeps the reel securely positioned during repeated jigging and twitching. Thin braided line or light monofilament suits the intended ultralight use, with braid providing more direct bite feedback through its low stretch.
The two-piece construction reduces the transport length to 105 cm. A competition-ready rod bag is included to protect the rod during transport and storage.
