It is intended for freshwater perch and trout with micro lures in the stated 0–2 g casting range. Micro jigs, miniature plugs, small softbaits and drop-shot presentations are supported uses, so choose these light presentations rather than heavier lures outside the rating.
The supplier suggests thin braid with a fine fluorocarbon or monofilament leader. The Torayca 30T blank and S (Solid Tip) specification provide feedback from small lures, while the forgiving action cushions fish on fine leaders. No exact line diameter or breaking strain is specified.
Yes, the supplier describes the forgiving action as accessible to beginners and the sensitive blank as helpful for recognizing bites and lure contact with the bottom. It remains a specialist for very light presentations, so keep your lure choice within its 0–2 g rating.
The 1.83 m rod separates into two sections and has a 98 cm transport length. A competition-ready rod bag is included, so allow space for that packed length when planning transport or storage.

The Savage Gear Revenge SG4 Micro Game is an ultra-light spinning rod for freshwater perch and trout fishing with micro lures. Its Japanese Torayca 30T blank transmits lure vibrations and tentative bites, helping you follow the lure and detect light takes. The forgiving blank action cushions fish during the fight and helps protect fine leaders.
This 1.83 m model has a stated casting weight of 0–2 g and weighs 81 g. It is intended for micro jigs, miniature plugs, small softbaits and drop-shot presentations within that weight range. The supplier also lists trolling small plugs as a use, but this is a micro-lure spinning rod rather than a dedicated trolling rod. Do not use heavier lures beyond its stated casting range.
The tip specification is S (Solid Tip). Together with the sensitive blank, it provides feedback for delicate lure work, including micro-jigging around groynes and fishing flowing stretches. Thin braid with a fine fluorocarbon or monofilament leader is the supplier's suggested setup. The forgiving action is useful when playing fish on such fine tackle and also makes the rod accessible to anglers learning ultra-light fishing.
SeaGuide CCS stainless-steel guides with SiN inserts provide low-friction line flow, particularly relevant when fishing thin lines and very small lures. The SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat keeps the reel securely positioned during use.
The two-piece rod has a transport length of 98 cm, so check that length against your rod storage or transport space. A competition-ready rod bag is included for protection during transport and storage.
