It is intended for perch, trout and zander with small to medium-sized lures within its 5–18 g casting range. Supported choices include softbaits, spoons, inline spinners, crankbaits, twitchbaits and Carolina rigs, so you can switch between light bottom presentations and retrieved lures within that weight range.
The Japanese Torayca 30T blank gives direct feedback from subtle bites, including when light jigging or twitching. Its forgiving action cushions pressure changes during the fight, helping reduce pulled hooks and line breaks rather than responding with excessive stiffness.
Yes. Its SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides have SiN inserts designed for braided line, providing low-friction line travel and abrasion protection. Check the inserts regularly for nicks, as damaged guides can harm the line.
The 2.51 m rod splits into two sections and has a transport length of 132 cm, so allow that much length in your transport setup. A competition-ready rod bag is included to protect the blank. Rinse and dry the rod before storing it in the bag.

The Savage Gear Revenge SG4 Light Game is a spinning rod for perch, trout and zander with small to medium-sized lures. Its Japanese Torayca 30T blank transmits subtle bites, while the forgiving action cushions pressure changes during the fight. It suits both beginners and experienced anglers who want sensitive lure control without an overly stiff response when playing fish.
This 2.51 m version has a casting weight of 5–18 g and weighs 126 g. It covers small softbaits around edges and structure, spoons and inline spinners for trout, and light jig heads worked along the bottom for zander. Crankbaits, twitchbaits and Carolina rigs are also supported within the casting range, including use in shallow to medium-depth water. Light jigging, twitching and drop-shot fishing are further stated applications.
The Torayca 30T blank provides direct bite feedback for detecting tentative takes when jigging or twitching. The balanced action combines responsive hook-setting with cushioning under load to help reduce pulled hooks and line breaks. SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN inserts provide low-friction line travel and abrasion protection, including compatibility with braided line. The SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat keeps the reel securely seated during use.
The two-piece construction reduces the transport length to 132 cm. A competition-ready rod bag is included to protect the blank on the way to the water. After use, rinse the rod with clean water and dry it before storing it in the bag. Check the guide inserts for nicks that could damage the line, and check the reel seat is secure before each session.
