The 2.31 m rod separates into two sections and has a transport length of 122 cm. Plan storage space for that length, and use the included competition-ready rod bag to protect it in transit and during storage.
It is intended for perch, trout and zander with small to medium lures in the 7-22 g casting range. Supported choices include softbaits, crankbaits, spinners, spoons, twitchbaits and Carolina rigs, so it covers both moving lures and light bottom presentations.
The supplier defines S as fast, with the rod bending mainly in the upper third. This gives a direct response for lure control, while the forgiving tip cushions sudden pulls during the fight.
Yes. The SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides have SiN inserts suitable for fine braid. Their low-friction, line-friendly guidance supports this setup, although the supplier gives no specific line diameter or breaking strain.
The supplier recommends a size 2000-3000 fixed-spool reel for the 2.31 m, 7-22 g rod. The SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat secures the reel, making this size range the stated starting point for choosing a matching setup.

The Savage Gear Revenge SG4 Light Game is a spinning rod for small to medium lures when targeting perch, trout and zander. Its Japanese Torayca 30T blank transmits lure and bottom contact, while the fast yet forgiving action combines responsive lure control with cushioning during the fight.
The 2.31 m version has a casting weight of 7-22 g and weighs 134 g. It suits softbaits, crankbaits, spinners, spoons, twitchbaits and Carolina rigs within that weight range. Use small softbaits or spinners for perch along current seams and bank edges, light twitchbaits or spinners for trout in clear, flowing water, or a light jig or Carolina rig for zander near the bottom.
The fast action, identified by the supplier as S, bends mainly in the upper third. This supports precise casting and direct lure response, while the forgiving tip cushions sudden pulls during a fight. SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN inserts provide low-friction, line-friendly guidance suitable for fine braid. The SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat holds the reel securely. The supplier recommends a size 2000-3000 fixed-spool reel for this 2.31 m, 7-22 g version.
The two-section construction reduces the rod to a transport length of 122 cm. A competition-ready rod bag is included to protect it during transport and storage.
