It is intended for pike and catfish, with large zander also reported by the supplier. Casting, vertical fishing and trolling are all listed, so you can use the same eel-shaped lure for a steady retrieve or rod lifts without needing a different lure type for each method.
The 15 cm pack contains three bodies and a 4 g jig hook. The 20 cm pack contains two bodies, a 5 g size 7/0 jig hook and a 7 cm stinger with a size 2 treble. At 30 cm you get two bodies, a 6 g size 8/0 jig hook and a 9 cm stinger with a size 2/0 treble. The 40 cm pack contains one body, a 9 g size 12/0 jig hook and an 11.5 cm stinger with a size 3/0 treble. Choose the lure profile together with its hook sizes and body count, since longer versions do not contain the same quantity.
Yes. The large curly tail produces kicking action even at very slow speed. A steady retrieve or raising and lowering the rod activates it, so a slow presentation can retain tail movement rather than relying on fast winding.
Black Green Pearl, Olive Pearl, Purple Pearl, Firetiger, Golden Ambulance, LBS, Green Silver, Glow, Magic Motor Oil and Gold Karamel are listed in all four lengths. Dirty Silver is listed only in 40 cm, so that finish requires the largest version. No color-specific water or light recommendations are supplied.
Yes, the supplier states that it is formable after warming with boiling water. This supports adjusting the body shape, but no heating time or step-by-step method is supplied, so the statement should not be treated as a detailed care procedure.

The Savage Gear Real Eel Loose Body is an eel-shaped softbait for pike and catfish, with large zander also mentioned in the supplier's fishing results. Its lifelike body and large curly tail produce a pronounced kicking action that imitates a fleeing eel, even at very slow retrieve speeds.
Fish it on a steady retrieve or work it by raising and lowering the rod. The tail remains active at low speed, so you can slow the presentation without losing its movement. The supplier supports casting, vertical fishing and trolling, giving you several ways to present the same lure.
Choose 15 cm for the smallest eel profile, 20 cm or 30 cm for intermediate sizes, or 40 cm for the largest presentation. Increasing length also changes the included jig hook and stinger, while the number of bodies per pack drops from three to one. The listed weights refer to the supplied jig hooks, not the complete lures.
| Lure length | Bodies per pack | Included jig hook | Included stinger | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 15 cm | 3 | 4 g | None listed | | 20 cm | 2 | 5 g, size 7/0 | 7 cm, size 2 treble | | 30 cm | 2 | 6 g, size 8/0 | 9 cm, size 2/0 treble | | 40 cm | 1 | 9 g, size 12/0 | 11.5 cm, size 3/0 treble |
The supplied hooks are described as sharp and strong, supporting hook-ups and playing large predators. The 20 cm, 30 cm and 40 cm packs include a treble-hook stinger as well as the jig hook, whereas the 15 cm pack lists only a jig hook. Select the length together with its tackle and body count rather than treating all packs as equivalent.
Black Green Pearl, Olive Pearl, Purple Pearl, Firetiger, Golden Ambulance, LBS, Green Silver, Glow, Magic Motor Oil and Gold Karamel are available in 15 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm and 40 cm. Dirty Silver is listed only in 40 cm. Choose the named finish after selecting your length. The supplier gives no color-specific guidance for water clarity or light conditions.
The supplier states that the body can be reshaped after warming with boiling water. This allows its shape to be adjusted, but no heating time or detailed procedure is provided.
