The Fury SG6 Halibut is a sea fishing rod for targeting large halibut with very heavy lures from the boat. Its spiral-mounted guides move the line beneath the blank, preventing the rod from twisting under heavy load during demanding fights, including with halibut over 2 m.
This 1.95 m rod is rated for 250–700 g lures and a 40–60 lb line class. The Japanese Torayca carbon blank has Extra Extra Extra Heavy power and a Moderate Fast action, providing the strength needed for large fish in deep water. It is designed for a baitcasting reel, secured in a Fuji reel seat.
Heavy-duty SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN rings carry the line around the blank and beneath it, helping maintain control under load. A premium cork handle provides the grip, and the rod weighs 315 g.
