It is intended for lure fishing for trout, perch and zander in streams, rivers and lakes. Its light, sensitive carbon blank suits active spinning, so it covers these freshwater uses rather than a single species-specific setup.
The 2.31 m version is rated for 9–32 g and has a fast action. Choose your lure setup within that casting range, while the fast action and sensitive blank support direct lure control.
The rod separates into two sections and has a transport length of 120 cm. A rod bag is included, so allow space for that packed length when planning storage or travel.

The Savage Gear Black Savage Spin is a spinning rod for lure fishing for trout, perch and zander in streams, rivers and lakes. Its light, sensitive high-modulus carbon blank helps you feel lure feedback, while the low rod weight reduces fatigue during repeated casting and retrieving.
This 2.31 m version has a casting weight of 9–32 g and a fast action. Use the stated casting range to choose your lure setup. The sensitive blank and fast action support direct lure control during active spinning. The rod weighs 107 g.
CCS SiN guides carry the line along the blank. The ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) grips provide the rod's hand contact surfaces and have a camouflage design. A matte carbon finish completes the understated stealth styling.
The two-piece rod packs down to a transport length of 120 cm, making it shorter to carry and store than its assembled length. One rod and a rod bag are included.
